The little town where this beaches are owe its name to the Canal of Bocachica, called this for it is very narrowl and was the only and obliged way to the bay of Cartagena because the Bocagrande Canal located on the other side of Tierrabomba was closed by a submarine wall constructed during the Colony.
Bocachica is accessible by water after a 45 minute journey. There are dressing rooms, showers with unsalted water, restaurant and bar. It has shallow beaches and crystaline waters. |
