This small plaza was the favorite place to pass and refresh from the heat of the monks at the convent San Francisco de Asis (located in a corner). It was also the place of reunion of Don Pedro Romero with the masses of Cartagena and from there they went to support the signers of the Act of Independence on November 11th of 1811.
