Calle de Gastelbondo

Its primitive name was Calle de Nuestra Señora del Niño Perdido.

It is said that under the Santo Domingo Bulwark every night a "mohan" came out and jumped into the well of one of the houses and made such noise, the house owner and neighbors could not sleep.

Doña Dolores Pasco de Vela, a very religious lady, wanting to finish the restless daemon offered to the Virgen del Carmén to found a school if the spectrum was eradicated. Some time later the mohan disappeared and Doña Pasco founded the Colegio del Carmen on July 16th of 1840.
